Training courses
About the programmes:
We offer training programmes to those who are low to non-skilled, long term unemployed, feeling socially isolated or those who wish to retrain.
Our training programmes teach people how to repair and install domestic appliances.
The course runs for five weeks and each intake will have no more than 4 participants and runs one day a week from 9am-3pm.
The learning objectives of this course is that the trainees become competent in the repair and installations of washing machines, washer dryers, electrice cookers, electric ovens, and tumble dryers.
The course also offers a PAT testing certificate, which allows the trainees to becomes qualified PAT testers.
Course breakdown:
Week 1 - Learning how to repair and install washing machines
Week 2 - Learning to repair and install washing dryers
Week 3 - Learning to repair and install electric cooker ovens
Week 4 - Learning to repair and install tumble dryers
Week 5 - PAT testing course (Certified)
We believe that the programme installs a sense of purpose and achievement in our trainees, and the PAT testing course will provide them a qualification which will further enhance their employment prospects. It also gives our trainees a chance to meet new people in the community.
